SWCS Officially Part of the UNFCCC Climate Neutral Now Resources Centre Participant List

SWCS Corporate Services Group (Hong Kong) Limited (SWCS) has officially been included in the United Nations Climate Neutral Now Resources Centre participant list, becoming the first Hong Kong Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Reporting and Consultancy services provider to join this list. In late March 2021, SWCS also officially signed the United Nations Climate Neutral Now pledge, promoting an eco-friendly and carbon neutral lifestyle.

The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (SEHK) has required since 1st July 2020, that all Hong Kong listed companies have to comply with the revised ESG Reporting Guide and related listing requirements. The most important change of the guide is the addition of the mandatory disclosures responsibility in order to build up a corporate governance and ESG mechanism. In 1992, the United Nations established the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and in December 1997, the Kyoto Protocol was passed to extend the UNFCCC. On 12th December 2015, the Paris Agreement was signed by 197 countries from the UN at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in France. Target to reduce global greenhouse gas emission substantially to limit the global temperature increase in this century to 2 degrees Celsius.
